“Hounded” is one of those books. It lays forth a tapestry of characters and events without reading like a history book. The characters are fully formed, even the peripheral ones, so when they show up again they feel like a friend/5(K).
Hounded is a book that made me remember why I loved and miss the genre so much. A few moons ago, I use to read PNR/UF books like I breathe air, and ate them like potato chips. Then the treads started up with many authors pretty much doing the same thing over and over again/5.
I think "Hounded" is good, just not Rosenfelt's best. If you haven't read any of the other Andy Carpenter books, you'll like this book and will want to read the others. As another reviewer said, it seems a contradiction, but these murder mysteries are great light reading.
David Rosenfelt's books keep me interested all the way through the book/5(). HOUNDED is the first book I have read by Ellie Douglas, and it most certainly will not be the last. It is also the first horror book I have read in an age. Not that I don’t like horror, quite the opposite, it is just that I prefer sleeping without nightmares.
In spite of that, on occasion I will delve into the Hounded - book of horror/5(39). "Hounded" is book 12 in the series, and without giving anything away, something long-time fans have been waiting for. Andy Carpenter is a sarcastic, intelligent, funny lawyer.
A little bit lazy, but so likable and genuine/5. Hounded. Atticus O’Sullivan has been running for two thousand years and he’s a bit tired of it. After he stole a magical sword from the Tuatha Dé Danann (those who became the Sidhe or the Fae) in a first century battle, some of them were furious and gave chase, and some Hounded - book secretly amused that a Druid had the cheek to defy them.
Hounded is the first novel in The Iron Druid Chronicles, an urban fantasy series written by Kevin Hearne. Hounded introduces the character of Atticus O'Sullivan, the last Druid and proprietor of Third Eye Books and Herbs occult shop. He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer.
He lives and works in Author: Kevin Hearne. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries.
Now the determined deity has tracked him down, and Atticus will need all his power—plus the help of a seductive goddess of death, his vampire and werewolf team of attorneys, a bartender possessed by a Hindu witch, and some good old-fashioned luck of the Irish—to kick some Celtic arse and.
Hounded by David Rosenfelt. Release Date: June 30th Andy Carpenter isn’t sure what to think when he gets a mysterious phone call from a good friend, policeman Pete Stanton, asking him to drop everything, drive to an unfamiliar address, and bring his girlfriend, Laurie Collins.

Hounded is a story about a world of shifters, species trying to live harmoniously even though deep prejudices and hatred still exist among them. Into this powder keg of prejudice and mistrust, particularly between hounds and lions, comes a madman bent on revenge against all lions, who sets up lion-shifter Kanon Reyes for a string of murders/5.

That's what makes urban fantasy the most exciting genre to read and write for me. The potential for supernatural shenanigans in the present seems infinite. To narrow the focus a bit and keep myself sane, when I sat down to write Hounded, the first book of The Iron Druid Chronicles, I made myself a list of what I wanted to contribute to the genre/5().

"Hounded" [is] great summer entertainment, a page-turning mystery with a lot of good laughs along the way. "Portland Press Herald"" David Rosenfelt deftly works in wry humor, a love of dogs and New Jersey gangsters in Hounded, his highly entertaining 12th legal thriller featuring attorney Andy Carpenter.

Where does Hounded rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far. Very high on the list. The perfornance was admirable and the tone and inflection of voice gave a emersive experience.
The book scratched an itch I didn't even knew I had. What was one of the most memorable moments of Hounded. The conversations with the protagonist and. "Unlike most of the books in the crowded genre that explore how dogs show us how to recalibrate our overwrought and over-stimulated lives, Hounded veers off the well-trod main road to find the intersection where humor, poignancy, and insight meet."—/5(12).

Hounded by Zoe Dawson (Book #3: Going to the Dogs series) Source: Purchase Rating: 5/5 stars POE!!! Poe Madigan and her Terrible Two (the terriers known as Edgar and Allan) are the focus of Hounded, book three of Zoe Dawson’s Going to the Dogs series. Of the dog park group of girls, Poe is by far the weirdest of the bunch/5.About Hounded.
The first novel in the Iron Druid Chronicles—introducing a cool, new, funny urban fantasy hero Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. Now, regarding "Hounded"- this is my favorite Andy Carpenter novel.
It delivers all of the usual ingredients that make this series so satisfying. Great narration, humor, wonderful characters, a few good plot twists, and adds to it conclusion that is so satisfying, I listened to the end of it several times.
